Without question based on sheer beauty and being a hospitable destination in Canada, the Okanagan region is at the top of the vacation destinations. The beaches around Kelowna tend to be smaller often only being a ‘beach access’ at the end of a road with limited parking. Kelowna as a world class resort destination is more pricey than other areas of the Okanagan region and the population tends to be older, as such much of the tourism is aimed at retirees. slower paced and laid back.
