I have two programs that are both vital to my work and must run simultaneously. They are both resource hogs, and I need to make sure that both are getting the resources they need to function properly. I’m running an Intel Dual-Core processor with 4gb physical memory. I have set the affinity of each program to its own processor. Does anyone know of a way I can devote a block of RAM to each program to ensure smooth sailing, or any other tips to maximize their performance?

Windows automatically assigns RAM according to program use.
If they aren’t running well at the same time, then increase system memory.
Assigning them a predetermined block will only hinder performance.
